The mechanical properties of the strand as well as corrosion protection properties are most important to DYWIDAG. Each strand is composed of seven individual cold-drawn wires, which provide exceptional strength and durability. These strands can withstand forces of up to 26 tons, making them highly suitable for demanding construction applications. 


For a maximum in corrosion protection we offer electrically isolated systems using polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) ducts. These ducts are designed to provide superior corrosion resistance, especially in aggressive environments. The PE and PP ducts act as a barrier, preventing corrosive agents from reaching the strands, thus enhancing the longevity and reliability of the post-tensioning system.
